Freedom March by COLLINGWOODthe ”stone frigate” COLLINGWOOD, a shore establishment at Fareham, is the headquarters of the Maritime Warfare School.   The Maritime Warfare School is a federated training establishment incorporating EXCELLENT, the Defence Diving School, the RN Physical Training School, the School of Hydrography and Meteorology (Plymouth) and the Royal Marines School of Music (Portsmouth), with sub units at Excellent, Longmoor, Temeraire, Horsea Island and Raleigh, all charged with delivering training in Warfare, Weapon Engineering, Diving, Physical Training, Chemical Biological Radiation Nuclear and Damage Control, Sea Survival, Seamanship and Military skills.      Lodger organisations, include the Royal Navy Leadership Academy, Maritime Warfare Centre and Fleet Intelligence Centre.    The Maritime Warfare School was formed in January 2002 as part of the Defence Training Review with the transfer in of training previously undertaken at DRYAD, and in the Spring of 2007 the Maritime Warfare Centre relocated to COLLINGWOOD.      HRH The Princess Royal visited COLLINGWOOD at Fareham for a special Freedom March as the establishment exercised the right to march through the town with 'bayonets fixed and flags flying', led by the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Collingwood.
