RAN International Fleet Review in October 2013

RAN International Fleet Review in October 2013 – the Royal Australian Navy is gearing up for this event at which the Type 45 Destroyer DARING will represent the Royal Navy.     Preparations include changes to mooring buoys located within Naval Waters to provide berths for the foreign ships scheduled to attend the Review, where 50 nations have been invited to attend.   The Review is set to mark the centenary of the Royal Australian Navy arriving in Sydney.

Shortly after Review the next generation of Australian warships will arrive in Australia in the form of the  first of Navy’s new Landing Helicopter Dock CANBERRA.  A second Landing Helicopter Dock, the ADELAIDE is to follow, as are three (3) new Air Warfare Destroyers to be named HOBART, BRISBANE and SYDNEY.
